The Smiley Township planning process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1)\nDefined a set of development principles which are intended to reflect\nthe values of township residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2)\nExamined development issues currently facing the township. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3)\nEstablished development policies to guide township development in the\nmanner most suitable to the residents\u2019 wishes. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Plan recognizes agriculture as the primary land use in the Township and makes provisions to welcome other residents, occupations, and uses. The following is a summary of the development policies which are more fully defined on page 17:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
